The NC Department of Commerce, Division of Workforce Development Announces Program Year 2007 Performance Incentive Awards. (October 14, 2008)

In a communication letter from Executive Director Roger Shackleford to Nancy Borrell, Director of DavidsonWorks, Inc. the announcement was made; Final Program Year 2007 performance results indicated that DavidsonWorks Local Area met performance goals for the year and is eligible to receive an incentive funds award.

 

The Division of Workforce Development had completed its performance analysis of Local Area programs funded by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) during Program Year 2007.  A copy of the Final Program Year 2007 performance results was attached to the communication.

 

The Division’s incentive awards criteria for Program Year 2007 performance is outlined in Local Area Issuance 2008-02.  Local Areas’ eligibility for incentive funds is based on average performance against goals in three performance areas: adult, dislocated worker, and youth.

 

The Local Areas that are eligible to receive performance incentive awards will share a total of $1,500,000 in incentive funds.  The DavidsonWorks Workforce Development Board will receive  $61,224. In incentive funds for Program Year 2007 performance.

 

Roger Shackleford also stated:

“Congratulations on your accomplishments during Program Year 2007.  We appreciate your continuing support and cooperation as we strive to provide quality workforce development services to the people of North Carolina.”
