JobsNOW Scholarship Program Available

DavidsonWorks has scholarships available for the JobsNOW training programs at Davidson County Community College.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) eligibility and feasibility guidelines will apply.

To apply for a scholarship, individuals should attend an information session and have applied by Friday, December 11th.

Where:   Davidson County Community College
               Conference Center Building (Room 202)
Dates:     Tuesday, December 1, 2009 or Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Times:    10:00AM, 1:00 PM or 4:00 PM

Training programs begin in January 2010.

All Programs can be completed within six months.

Programs available for scholarship include:

  • Nursing Assistant,
  • Healthcare Billing & Coding,
  • Welding,
  • Office Manager,
  • Mechatronics/Automation

DavidsonWorks JobsNOW scholarships require
the following Student Responsibilities:

  • Meeting regularly with Career Counselor to discuss progress
  • Attending all JobsNOW classes
  • Attending DavidsonWorks career guidance workshops,
  • Reporting grades to career counselor,
  • Complete Career Readiness Certificate
  • Search for full time employment
  • Reporting job placement to DavidsonWorks

The Spring JobsNOW application
acceptance period has ended

Applicants selected to continue the evaluation process will be contacted via telephone by Wednesday, December 16, 2009.
