Get REAL Youth Program

GETTING YOUTH BACK ON TRACK

DavidsonWorks invests in training and other services for youth because we realize that today’s youth are tomorrow’s workers. Through the Get REAL program, we help eligible Davidson County area youth ages 16-21 address real life issues that could prevent them from being productive, skilled workers in the future. By helping today’s youth stay on track and get focused, DavidsonWorks is providing more highly skilled, qualified and motivated workers for your business in the future.

  • Today’s youth grow into tomorrow's highly skilled workers.
  • Youth become motivated and ready to work for you.
  • Graduates from the youth program have increased job retention.
  • Youth gain critical real world job experience in a career track.
  • Out-of-school youth gain a GED or Adult High School Diploma.
  • Youth become the skilled workers needed for Davidson County’s future.

We have invested millions in education and training solutions to help young people stay in school, assisting them with tutoring and other help they need to succeed by graduating high school or attaining their GED. We help students work year-round on leadership skills and give them career guidance, occupational training and job placement assistance—including summer jobs, internships and job-shadowing opportunities. We believe that training youth is part of our mission to help Davidson County businesses.
