Get REAL Program gets funding from DavidsonWorks
After hearing a staff overview of the Get REAL (Real Educational Achievements
for Life) program, the DavidsonWorks Board of Directors on Thursday voted to
allocate $77,230 to the career and life skills program.
The 12-year-old program, a collaboration of DavidsonWorks, Davidson County
Community College and the business community, helps youths who don’t function well
in a traditional school setting complete their high school education and go on to
a community college and a career.
